Dr. Danny Frye is a passionate percussionist, educator, and leadership consultant with over 30 years of experience helping musicians and teams reach their full potential. Known for his dynamic teaching style and deep musical insight, Danny brings a unique blend of performance artistry and mentorship to every lesson, clinic, and stage he steps on.

As the founding Director of University Bands at High Point University, Danny built an instrumental program from the ground up—launching the university’s first marching band and growing student participation exponentially. He has taught at both the high school and collegiate levels, led choirs, and developed award-winning ensembles rooted in discipline, creativity, and community.

Now through Resonant Vision, Danny offers:

• Private and group percussion instruction for students of all levels

• Leadership clinics and section coaching for schools and organizations

• Solo percussion performances and recitals that inspire and engage

Danny holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He specializes in concert and marching percussion, marimba performance, and educational leadership.

When he’s not teaching or performing, Danny is helping the next generation of artists and leaders tap into their rhythm, resilience, and purpose.
